i am visiting my indian boyfriends parents for the first time?

Question

what gifts should i bring his mother, father, and sister.

i am traveling half way around the world and they are hosting me in their house. I think whenever someone welcomes you in their home a gift is a very nice gesture.

In Indian culture, a guest is not expected to bring gifts.A guest is treated with great respect and all her comforts will be looked after with great care and love.
I may caution you that while you will remain with them, all your movements will be closely watched and scrutinized to make sure that you are suitable to be accepted in their family.You should not forget to give immense respect to all elders,never argue with them,show your love to kids,if there are any,and refrain from smoking and drinking.You have not given the family background of your b/f , hence my advice is almost of a general nature.
While taking leave of them, you have to decide yourself if you want to give them something just to remember you. or in token of having offered you the hospitality.

why gifts??? is it a tradition? all moms like flowers if you must,dad,s well we go with the flow as long as you look decent. sisters usually don't like their brothers girl friend especially if shes a really good looker.ooh buy the way moms, unless he,s a really putz, will not like any girl he brings home and if he marries her she wont like her until she becomes a grandma.cool it be yourself .the only one you need to impress is him and yourself
