The article attempts to gloss over the fact that Israel was still invaded by these armies and not the aggressor. Further, their attempt to say that the Arab Legion was in cahoots with Israel is a lie, for on the same page hidden in a footnote is the statistic that the Arab Legion killed over 1,367 Israelis, more than any other country. Even further, the Arab League was the primary force involved in the conquering of the Jewish quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.
The article is also misleading; it suggests that since more Israeli soldiers were killed in counterattacks than in defense, Israel actually fought an offensive war. This however is false logic. Israel was attacked, making it a defensive war for Israel and the Arab armies the aggressors. The article also tries to draw attention away from the truth by overemphasizing the irrelevant and non-stated aspects: Israel does not claim that the Arab armies were coordinated or even well trained; all Israel claims is that despite strength and logistics being on the Arab side, Israelis through belief more than anything else managed to hold off the attack and stand triumphant. There are many cases of Arab armies fleeing from battle, as the Jews stood strong even down to the last man, and that made all the difference.

The fact that you choose to ignore verifiable history, does not alter the fact that the Arab armies did attack Israel. It happened within 12 hours of Israel declaring independence.

There are some people who, to this day, maintain that the world is flat. They cite 'proof' of this 'fact' and are passionately convinced they are right.
This does not alter the fact that the world is not flat.

If you don't want to believe anyone on this site about the War Of Independence, as the war of 1948 is called, then don't. You can pick up ANY history book written by any historian, and find the proof there, in print.

The attack by the Arab states on Israel is not a matter of subjective opinion.
It is objective fact.
It happened.

RE YOUR LINK

1) it proves nothing. unless what you now suggest is that the Israelis were 'evil' for trying to defend themselves?
2) why is it that when anyone provides a jewish source of info, you and others scream 'bias' within seconds - but it's fine for you to link to a site that refers to all jews as 'zionists' in a way that reveals the true agenda of the site's editor?

Newsflash! We get that you hate Israel! Believe it or not, we do in fact realise that! What are your posts meant to be achieving?
Is it that you think you are showing us something that will make us too turn against Israel? Because if that is what you think, you're going to have one hell of a long wait...

Your link makes a case that the Arabs actually had crappy armies, and that's why they lost. I don't know whether that's true or not, but the important question is, why did they start the war? And having done so, why did they blame Israel for the outcome?

Jews aren't really very popular.

Hitler made it very politically incorrect to be honest about this, but as I live longer, and meet more people from all over the world, I find this to be a reliable answer in my experience. I could never support such actions, but unless there is some kind of power, or wealth issue involved - it's not likely that anyone will really do anything to help. War is good for business, so perhaps the opposite is more true.

I simply refuse to have an opinion on the matter, because I am invariably proved to be wrong in any event. What's worse, if I win the argument, then everyone else is offended that they got beaten so I still lose out!

It's a war between God & the Devil

Islam and the chosen people of God

otherwise nobody would have any problems with anyone

It says in the bible there will never be peace between them, but we are to pray for peace between them and hope it works

Seven armies did what was natural to do when someone sets up a fake state and while doing so steals land. Imagine if a group of Buddhists occupied Kansas, would everyone just sit by and let them have it????

And the only reason these 7 armies didn't take care of Israel when they had the chance was because the leaders of the Arab states were sellouts (King Hussein for example).

It was to help our brothers free their land from oppression and rebuild/return them to their homes. And Israel was well armed, it America, England, all the weapons they donated and the world support.
