how long do you cook them for? step by step if possible?

I presume you mean you blanched and froze them? (oops sorry - just reread your post - doh) OK - bring water to boil, drop in beans and boil fast for about 15 minutes. All done.

I would use the microwave to prevent them taking on too much water. If that's a problem, just bung the frozen beans into a pan of water and bring to the boil until they're done to your liking. Runner beans are quite robust from frozen.

Drop them in boiling water with just a tiny pinch of salt - from then on how long they take depends on several factors. How old were they when picked? How thinly did you slice them? How long did you blanch them? How tender do you like them?
Give 'em 10 minutes, taste one and give it another 5 or so minutes if not quite done - take it from there, cook till they are how you & family like their veg!
