Take it back to the store and get your money back. I bought a Samsung and kept it, worse piece of junk I have ever owned. The next time it dies I cut my losses and throw it in the trash. Dealing with Samsung's "customer care" is the most frustrating and worthless waste of time I can imagine.

If you're getting sound but no picture, that pretty much eliminates the cable from being the issue. If it continues to happen, it may be an issue with one of the engines in the unit and you're going to want to either swap it out at the store or you can call customer service and they'll get you set up for a service appointment. Since it's the Christmas season, it's going to take awhile to get someone out there so it would probably be better just to take it back to the store.

Before you call, just make sure you've checked the connections and get the model, serial, and version numbers from the back of the TV. You can also try resetting it by unplugging it for 2-3 minutes but I don't think it'll really help in this case.
