My husky has found some rubber ball in my yard, and then before I could stop him he has eaten it, he chewed it and he totally ate the whole ball. The ball he found is a bit smaller than a tennis ball, and now since that he can't or won't eat anything, just drinks water.I was total crazy when he was eating that ball, he puts anything he finds in his mouths.I have a big yard and children's from school are passing by it, and they are throwing stuffs in my yard- I guess he found that ball that way.
So I need help, husky hasn't eaten anything for a whole week, he looks like he is loosing weight, and he just lies around and won't play or run anymore, and he stretches him self a lots.
I am far away from a vet and I don't know how could I get him there since I don't have a car, and he obviously can't walk for a long time. Please if anyone knows how to help my Husky let me know what should I do.Happy Holidays.

If he has a blockage, he will die without treatment. Hopefully he chewed that ball up into small pieces before eating it.
Sometimes the vet at the clinic will give a dog a dose of oil to help pass small items. There was a big lab who ate a toy matchbox type car last week. He told Mom to give him a dose of Mineral oil to see if it would pass within 2 days. You might try that.

Get him to the vet NOW!

You could try a laxative of some sort, but he will most likely need surgery to remove the obstruction. Otherwise he will die.

A husky can and will eat anything. I had one that ate a 5 foot piece of rope ..... without us being aware of it .... until about 2 1/2 feet of it came out the other end. I had to help her with the rest of it.

Make whatever arrangements you have to and get him to a vet now!!!

Happy holidays and good luck!

The rubber is stuck and blocking his digestive tract. If it is not surgically removed it will probably kill him. Depending where you are the surgery will cost $500-800. If you take him to an emergency vet today (Sunday) it could be three times that much. For future reference, if he eats something indigestible like that again make him vomit as soon as possible. Pour about 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide down his throat and get him outside on a leash quickly so he won't puke on your floors. It won't hurt to try it now but the rubber is probably past his stomach and in his intestine.

You're gonna need to call a friend, a relative, or a cab company. That dog needs to be seen by a vet a week ago! He;s probably got an obstruction and needs surgery.

Do the right thing and call around to get a ride to the vet. Your dog could die if you don't!

Your dog is going to need surgery. The dog's intestinal tract is blocked...the small intestine is quite small. Surgery could be expensive and I realize that you live a long way from the vet...but...without surgery your dog is going to die in a very short period of time. He NEEDS emergency surgery or WILL DIE.

Exactly what Vet Tech said, get him to the vet ASAP so they can remove the ball or he's not going to see another holiday.

That's the brutal truth.

Well, you either find a way to get him to a vet or you will have a dead dog. Sorry to be so honest, but without proper vet care (sx) he will die slowly (and painfully) from starvation due to the obstruction in his gut. Happy Holidays to you, I will keep this dog in my prayers.

I know it's going to be difficult to get him to the vet, but you need to get him there..It sounds like the ball is blocking his digestive tract and if it isn't removed soon, he'll starve :-(

Get him to a vet or he will die. Many years ago I lost a GSD puppy to this problem. Please find a way to get him there.
