l dreamed l got into an elevator with my boss. l was holding an envelope. l pushed the button for the evevator to go down there was no first floor button their were all different number for each floor in no particular order like 4th 8th, 15th, but none of them seemed to be down to the first floor where we wanted to go.l pushed a few buttons nothing happened. l kept pushing buttons suddenly the door shut.but still we did not move.for a time we were just still then l took a pair of scissors and cut a small cut into the envelope still nothing then l could see 4 wires across the lenght inside the envelope l cut through the whole envelope in half cutting all 4 wires.suddenly the evelator began moving down starting slowly then picking up speed. lt started falling so fast my boss fell to the floor his face was in a panic. l was climbing up the walls inside the elevator trying to find away to the top of the compartment so l was above my boss l heard a scream as l woke up.

To dream that an evelator descends means loss in business. You were on this elevator with your boss he was down on the floor you are trying to climb upward. you are doing everything you can to save yourself while this business you work for is going to crash.The scissors may mean you need to cut something out of you life perhaps you are thinking about leaving this job but as soon as you cut loose the businees will collapse. Leaving your boss helpless as this elevator is heading down for a crash.

There are some really interesting books on the meaning of dreams that you could check out- Borders has a whole section! We recently discussed dreamology in my college psych class and the experts say that every dream you have has some correlation to a thought, conversation or experience you have recently experienced. Our professor challenged us to keep a "dream journal" where you write down the jist of a dream right after waking up every time you have one and at the end of the week go back and reread, trying to find correlations between the dreams and events that took place. It really works and is quite interesting. For example one of my classmates had a dream that a firetruck driven by some crazed firemen had been chasing him trying to run him over, when we analyzed we realized that on his way to class a couple days before he had been stuck in traffic and a firetruck had been trying to get through, when he moved it was the wrong way and the truck almost reended him. Something as trivial as that can be twisted and turned in our subconcious. Maybe you should play the lotto with the numbers.....Hope this helped!

You are feeling pressured by someone to perform a task that is expected of you while he/she is breathing down your back. You feel that it is up to you to fulfill this task and everyone is counting on you so much so that if you fail, the consequences will be dire for you and everyone else.
Your boss riding in the elevator with you represents the pressure you are in to do this task, whatever it is. The buttons on the elevator and your desire to reach the ground floor is the task. That you are the only one doing anything in the elevator means that you feel that you are the only one who is supposed to do the task or that you are the only one who can. That you seem to control how the elevator will react (the wires in the envelop) means that you are trying to get control of the situation but it doesn't react the way you want it to. The elevator dropping represents your fear that if you make a mistake, the consequences are bad and that you are responsible for it.
