For awhile now I have always prayed to myself instead of out loud. The thing is my boyfriend can't accept that. I feel like he think I don't pray, because I don't pray out loud. Why is it that he can't accept me for this? He tell me that I need to stop doing this. I just don't understand why he has accepted everything about me but this?

Well,Remind him that your conversation is between you and God and it should not concern him, as rude as it might sound,it's the honest truth. You need to communicate with your God the only way you feel comfortable. Forget about what he wants and focus on what you feel is approapriate, Silent or not, you are talking to your God.

Your boyfriend sounds a bit like a control freak. If he can't see or hear it then it must not be true.
I agree with the people who say that prayer is a personal communication between you and God. God doesn't care if you pray to him silently or loudly, he doesn't get angry because you mentally talk to him as you are going about your daily business or simply sitting by yourself. The relationship between you and God is just that, between you and God and no human on Earth has the right to judge you on how that line of communication is being established.

Thats werid everyone i know has always prayed to themselves I'm sure God can hear you loud or quite after all tell him that dumb people (as in those who born without voice) pray and get heard by God. The last thing God would do is ignore them when God created them that way!

Tell him he needs to chill out and you will pray how ever you see fit to do it. Tell him at least you are praying and just because you don't do it like he does doesn't mean it's wrong.

Praying is a very personal activity, and nothing says that anyone must pray aloud.

He should respect the way you communicate with
your higher power. No one can tell you how to
communicate with God.For me,when I look in
the mirror the image I see is the only thing between
myself and Allah.
A merry christmas to you

People can be rather, well, religious about their religious beliefs. Just explain to him that the Bible seems to indicate that you should pray privately and not for the benefit of those listening.
