Hello I was just wondering about the satanist and what they believe in. I read somewhere that it is in self indulgence and not abstinence.
So what do they believe in? Tell me about it. I am curious to see what it is.
They dont even believe in Satan or God do they?
I read somewhere that a Satanist biggest "sin" is ignorance. Is that true?

It’s sad to say that in today’s modern world there still is religious predigest and Religious Discrimination. It is a too common thing that ignorant people believe that Left hand path religions are the evil of this world, and that anyone being involved or a member of a Left Hand Path group, order or organization are evil.

This is simply untrue those on the Left Hand Path are seeking a spiritual elevation of a different nature, Instead of focusing on a faith based worship of a all powerful and omnificent God or Gods/deities.

The Left Hand Path Religions value the advancement and preservation of the self, glorification of the earthly, and personal power over there own lives, nature and to discover, become and evolve towards self deification.

There are social and moral codes that Those on the Left hand Path follow, Those on the Left hand Path follow and adhere to the Laws of the country they reside in and the Laws of the United Nations.

The Left Hand path is a lone path, your experiences can be shared with others verbally, but it is a lone journey, meaning each person's experiences will be different, each person's views will be different, and each persons approach will be different. Effects, levels and approach to ritual and magik practice will be different. Some are in the The Cain state, The Cain State refers to when Cain of the Zohar / Biblical Texts wondered or Exoduses his homelands to the wilderness for many years in solitude until finding, learning and testing all he needed about himself, taping into the core of his psychosis and reaching self deification.

Some may gain a Theistic stand point (monotheistic or multi-theistic) or an Atheistic standpoint. Meaning some will believe in actual deities that guide them along the path, While the Atheist use these deities one or more just as symbolism that represent the forces in the inner self and as forces of nature.

Both should (this is my own beliefs) always remain in control and remain ones own God or Goddess, this means not worshiping these Deities/Gods as higher than yourself, I personally do not worship; I give thanks for what is revealed to me. Never am I less, I may adore certain aspects of these gods and realize in myself that those are the aspects I need to build in myself or I have let lapse and build back up.

Any one that worships a God or Gods is not of the left hand path, Lucifer, Set, Lilith, never bowed down and worshiped another God and the biblical Satan even rejected this ideal and rebelled.

The left hand path is about oneself reaching the greatest potential and becoming more, evolving, and Becoming a God, Your own God.

"LEFT HAND PATH - The Antinomian (against the current, natural order)path which leads through self - deification (Godhood). LHP signifies that humanity has an intellect which is separate from the natural order, thus in theory and practice may move forward with seeking the mastery of the spirits (referring to the elements of the self)and controlled direction in a positive area of ones own life - the differance between RHP (right hand path) is they seek union with the universe, nirvana and bliss. The LHP seeks disunion to grow in perception and being, strength and the power of an awarkened mind. The Left Hand Path from the Sanskrit Vama Marga, meaning 'Left Way', symbolizes a path astray all others, subjective only to itself. To truly walk upon the Left Hand Path, one must strive to break all personal taboos and gain knowledge and power from this averse way, thus expand power accordingly." ....Michael w. THE CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT
Luciferian Religious Church

The Church of Adversarial Light is a Luciferian Religious Church dedicated to the education and expansion of the Luciferian Spirit in Humanity. The Church of Adversarial Light does not worship Satan or Lucifer however it recognizes the spirit of the Adversary as the motivational psychological and spiritual force in nature.

The Church views each individual as a Temple and affirms that the relationship between the aspirant and the Gods are both sacred and personal. The Luciferian Spirit or Angel is viewed in the Church as the higher intellect which governs the decision making ability in each human. Lucifer is thus the Light or intellect of the self.

The Adversary is not viewed specifically as a male figure; the Daimon or Spirit Guide of the Adversary relates also to LILITH as the fire and hunger of instinct, SAMAEL is the spirit of rebellion and LEVIATHAN is the coiling Dragon or crooked serpent which is the dreaming mind. The Luciferian recognizes the symbolism of each and how they relate to leading a productive life.

The CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT was founded by High Priest Michael W. Ford in 2007, who is the founder of THE ORDER OF PHOSPHORUS and BLACK ORDER OF THE DRAGON. The Vision of our High Priest is to establish a religion based on the Spirit of both Light and Darkness, understanding that one must have balance and understand the dark instinct. This allows the Luciferian to utilize a complete knowledge of the self to make informed, strategic decisions which will lead to a more meaningful life.

DOCTRINE: THE CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT is based on the foundations presented in THE BIBLE OF THE ADVERSARY. The Luciferian can either approach a dogmatic or non-dogmatic approach to the religious aspects of the Luciferian Path.

Some basic considerations of THE CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT:

1. The Adversary is Lucifer and his bride, Lilith. Each represents the power of self-love and the transformation of consciousness into divine consciousness.

2. The Luciferian does not worship Satan or any other deity. The Luciferian continually seeks to challenge and transform the self into the perceived archetypal spirit of the Adversary.

3. The Church of Adversarial Light recognizes the associative theistic traits of the Adversary – in all forms – throughout History as a motivator of self-excellence. Chaos and stressful situations cause the spirit to rise – transform or to fall – a common aspect of Nietzsche inspired Self Will. Without challenge and adversity – there is no transformation.

4. The Church of Adversarial Light recognizes that each individual must seek the Adversary in their own way, with accountability for the actions of the individual in their own laws. Illegal activity is obviously not accepted or allowed within THE CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT.

The Luciferian of THE CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT may utilize ritual to seek their unique experience with the energy and spirit of the Luciferian Gnosis. Magick is thus a tool of achieving this end, while the level of application is up to the practitioner.

THE CHURCH OF ADVERSARIAL LIGHT accepts members or any walk or life, race and social status, although one common theme and affirmation is needed: the Luciferian must seek to build the self and become through this religious path, rejecting all other religions. The Luciferian Religion must serve the needs of the self; offer a realistic pathway to self-mastery.

To be Luciferian you must be willing to question, to explore, to study the foundations of religious lore and create your own Temple within.

This is the religion of self-accountability, self-love, those who recognize the Luciferian spirit within and who are not afraid to seek the forbidden. It is deeply spiritual as it is material, enjoy this life now in both a carnal and spiritual aspect. Grow in the light of Lucifer.

THE ADVERSARIAL DOCTRINE

1. Lucifer represents wisdom found through self-exploration.

2. Lucifer represents rejection of accepted “truths” instead to explore possibilities. 3. Lucifer symbolizes rebellion with a purpose; knowledge, wisdom and power.

4. Lucifer represents utilizing fantasy and symbolism to open the Gates of Hell; the underworld is the world of power.

5. Lucifer represents Balance spiritually and physically, that Light and Darkness are equally important to the mental and physical health of individual.

6. Lucifer represents self-deification with earned compassion and the value of loved ones’.

7. Lilith represents the wisdom and instinctual power of both woman and man, that the feminine is the motivator of all life.

8. Lilith represents independence and freedom of spirit.

9. Lilith represents sexual liberation and the desire to seek what you wish, with responsibility and regard to the law.

10. Lilith represents the thirst for continued existence in time, the immortality of the spirit beyond flesh. 11. Lilith represents the darkness surrounding the Light of Godhood, the bearing flame of her mate, Samael. -From THE BIBLE OF THE ADVERSARY by Michael W. Ford

Anton LaVey is supposedly one of the "normal" Satanists. Here's some of the things he prescribed:

LaVey claimed that nuts were given "the bum's rush" when trying to join the Church of Satan, but clearly nut was in the eye of the beholder. LaVey has admited to holding a "Cannibal feast" of a human leg in at least 3 books. The Satanic Bible &Satanic Rituals certainly describe many things most normal people would consider pychotic such as Nude girl is used as an altar (Satanic Bible, Satanic Rituals)A human skull is used in Die Elektrischen Vorspiele ritual (Satanic Rituals, p. 109)Human leg bone or arm bone is used in Homage to Tchort ritual (p.137)
Woman dressed as nun urinates before group into a bedpan in the Black Mass ritual (p.43) Urine is then sprinkled like holy water (p.44)Man climbs into coffin with nude woman (or nude man if he is gay) in Le Epais ritual (p.59).

While LaVey claimed he never practiced anything illegal, he actually pimped out female followers and beat them when they didn't bring in enough money which he called "Satanic Sex Therapy". According to defector P.E.I. Bonewitz, LaVey blackmailed members too. His common law wife Diane left him in the late 80's after being physically abused for over 20 years. Daughter Zeena claimed Anton was the passive witness to his own grandson's molestation.

Obviously these are things normal people don't do.

According to psychologist Anthony Moriarty adolescent Satanists (and probably adults too) can generally be classified into four categories, 1. Psuedo Intellectuals 2. Psychotics, 3. Angry 4. Suicidal. No normal people.

LaVey died bankrupt in a broken down house he no longer owned, despite claiming to be able to use magic for "selfish reasons".

People will tell you malarky about Satanism being "worship of the self", it's not. It's a personality cult centered around LaVey. People who get involved in Satanism are desperate for power, which indicates a deeper underlying problem.

There is different types of satanism but here is what I've read.

Spiritual Satanism believes that Satan is a real being.

I'm not sure if it's a sin to have ignorance, but I'm doubtful that anyone that went into satanism is ignorant, as it encourages self development, and experiencing things for yourself.

I hope this answered some of your questions...if you are still curious about it, visit the website below. It has a TON of information, and is really interesting to read.

i've got constantly theory that Satanism replaced into created as an "Anti-Christianity." as the thank you to insurrection against mainstream custom and scare human beings (use of pentacles and 666, the two tabo sybmols in Christianity, yet in no way linked until eventually now). i think of on account that then this is been reformed or divided. I as quickly as observed this "Satanist" female on the information being interviewed on her faith, and she or he mentioned it replaced into approximately "enjoying existence because of the fact there is not something after demise."

This is a false statement, the Joy of Satan state that Satan is God and the jehova is a false god created by enemy beings to enslave and destroy humanity.

'I've read on such sites as that of Joy of Satan Ministries that God and Father Satan DID originally work together,"

They are lost - have no clue who satan is, or how to worship him. Experimentation if you will. S is the advasary, so people who argue for no reason are the actual worshipers.

Actually, whether or not the individual Satanist actually believes in Satan as a deity or even a sentient being depends upon whether they are LaVeyan or Theistic Satanist. It would be foolish to say that Satanists don't believe in Satan, because there ARE in fact, two different kinds. Like I said, on the one hand, you have Theistic Satanists, and on the other, the Atheistic Satanists (or "LaVeyans"). I'll describe both to the best of my current knowledge below...

LaVeyan Satanists:

These are the Atheistic Satanists (technically). Though they, like many of the Theistics, believe that Humanity is Godlike, they further believe that humans are the only Gods that exist, and that (as Anton LaVey says in The Satanic Bible) "There is no Heaven above, and no Hell below.". My personal opinion is that they should call themselves something other than "Satanists" if they're going to claim there's no such being as Satan other than in symbol, although they have many good points about the logical way to live life, and Anton LaVey (Founder of the "Church of Satan") was indeed a wise man when it came to ethics and the way that life should be lived (for the most part). LaVeyan Satanists believe that life should be about carnal existance, and enjoying the pleasures of life (Indulgence, not abstinance). As for Satan, they use His name as a symbol, a representation of the forces of darkness, and as what the ideal Satanist should embody. It seems like they also identify with Satan because he's a good way to justify doing everything one can to be Anti-Xian (though any LaVeyan is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong on that last one). However, I can safely tell you that to say that their biggest sin is Ignorance. I haven't met any "Stupid Satanists", LaVeyan or Theistic. We tend to be very informed people who do our research and know that which we talk about. Seeing as we have no problem with the Xian Sins, I could imagine we wouldn't beat ourselves up for being ignorant, but it would usually be followed by an attempt to learn more about whatever it was we had a misconception of.

Theistic Satanists:

This is in reference to those of us who actually worship Satan AS WELL as ourselves. We believe that Father Satan was humankind's true creator, and that he teaches us to embrace the pleasures, knowledge and power we can come to posess by accepting who we are as humans, not denying it, and by learning about that which we wish to know, whatever that may be. Father Satan also teaches us that if we want something, we should bring it into our lives by the power which WE posess, as opposed to praying to a higher power for it. It is in this initiative that we are truly rewarded. We may be widely considered a Pagan Religion, but we are not bound by such rules as "If it harms none, do as ye will" like the Wiccans are. We, like the LaVeyans, believe there is a time to do harm, and it comes whenever we or someone we care about are attacked. We have no qualms with doing harm, as most of us embrace that what the Xians refer to as "Wrath" is actually a valid, natural human emotion, or at least a valid reaction to a given stimulus.

My own personal beliefs:

As for belief in God, I can't speak for everyone, but I have heard in my research and also believe that the God known as Yahweh/Jehovah was destroyed at the turn of the millenium, ending the Judeo-Xian Vs. Satanic War that had been raging for thousands of years. I have always believed that God was never looking out for the good of humanity (that comes from my first sixteen years of raised Catholic, praying to Jehovah, and not only never having my prayers answered, but watching the people around me have similar lacking success for all THEIR praying as well, among other things.). Further, I believe that the reason God was destroyed was that he had been trying to destroy humanity, which I'm assuming SEVERELY pissed off Father Satan, and to make the choice to try to do to us what he did wasn't the best thing for his "health" if you will. I've read on such sites as that of Joy of Satan Ministries that God and Father Satan DID originally work together, but Satan was never an "Angel" (that's just what they like you to believe so they can convince you more easily that when things went sour, God "kicked Him out"). They worked together until God ordered Satan to destroy Humanity (which Father Satan loved, for having created us) because we were no longer useful. At that point, some believe Father told God, in so many words (I'll phrase it as I would only because, of course, I don't know the exact words that were used), something to the effect of "Yeah, bend over and I'll file that under bullshit!". So they parted ways, Satan creating Hell as the seat of His most Unholy Empire, and dedicating that empire to the preservation of Earth and the advancement of the Human Race and the Left Hand Path (probably among other things), and Jehovah continuing to rule over the "Kingdom of Heaven", with a newfound vendetta against Father Satan and His children. The two sides waged spiritual and at times physical warfare for Aeons, but I believe as I said that those times ended with the turn of the millenium, when we entered the Aeon of Lucifer. I think that due to the turn of events that has occurred and continues to occur, we can start to rebuild the world to the glory it experienced before the Aeon of Osiris, when the Jehovah-Worshipping Religions started to get things to take a spiritual turn for the worse. Sorry if that opinion pisses you off, but you asked what we believe, and I wouldn't be answering your question completely if I didn't speak from my prespective as well as a general Satanic point of view.

Misconceptions you might encounter:

Many will tell you that Satanism and Devil Worship are the same thing, but this is false. "The Devil" is a Xian invention, which they gave some of the same names as Father Satan to scare people away from the real deal with a fictitious entity with red skin, a forked tail and a pichfork. Father Satan has been known to assume many forms for many purposes, but that ain't one of 'em. As I was saying, "Devil Worship" is filled with bloody human sacrifice and other practices which from what I've learned, have nothing to do with Satanism. Father doesn't teach us to kill in His name, or anytime it's uncalled for, so you can tell there's a difference. Still, you'll probably run into a lot of people infected with what we call "Antichrist Syndrome", who believe that Satanism and Devil-Worship are one in the same. Look at it this way, there are also those that confuse the schizophrenic voices in their head for "The Voice of God", so no matter what belief system you study or even practice, you'll always run into sickos and extremists who only THINK they know what the Hell they're talking about. That's all I can think of at the moment, so I hope my answer has been enlightening.

*Best Wishes and Satanic Blessings*
