thank you for all those answers. After doing a bit more research, it seems that the term "pork butt with bone" is actually not from the rear end at all, as one would assume, it means the upper shoulder. So the real term is "pork shoulder butt".
Learn something new everyday. What you would think the "butt" would be is really what a ham comes from. TMI I know.
