The "Think" Tank and the "Water" Tank!!!

* - Merkava Mark III (not that great but it's pretty quick).

Serious mis-statement: despite "hezzie" propaganda which mistakenly identified lethal hits on Merkava 3's when in fact they were Merkava 2's.

The Israeli Merkava is designed for their particular style of landscape of Israel and South Lebanon, Syria, etc,, lots of rocky fields and slopes, with poor road conditions.
Merkava's are designed with crew survivability in mind, and not speed.

Leopard 2, recently dumped by the Australians in favour of reconditioned US Abraham's.

The British Challenger only lost out to a "Blue on Blue" and never lost in combat with the enemy, If its not broke don't fix it.

The Leopard 2 is generally considered to be the most capable tank in the world, and one of the best selling on the current tank market. Not to be confused with the Leopard 1, an old design that Australian tankers found inferior to their new Abrams tanks.

A second would be the Leclerc - Although the French probably only rejected foreign tank designs out of national pride, they did design this keeping the strengths and weaknesses of the other tank examples you listed in mind. It's essential you get the first shot in, and the Leclerc's advanced fire control system makes this more likely.

Being that I once used to be a 19kilo m1 abrams tank gunner I am pretty partial to saying that the m1 is a very kick butt tank my number 2 pick would be the Merkava because it can engage targets at alot further ranges then most tanks can meaning they can wreck havoc on tanks that cant even return fire.

There was this monster tank the germans built. The thing was crewed with like 15 people and moved at about 1 MPH. Now THAT was a monster tank.
