If it wasn't, don't you think the Pharisees would have been dragging the body out for all to see? The "myth" didn't start decades later... check out how many times He appeared during the 40 days afterwards. And not just to small groups, but sometimes as many as 500.

Jesus was buried in a tomb and rose from the dead after 3 days. He ascended body and soul into heaven after he rose from the dead. You will have a pretty hard time finding any DNA to test since He ascended into heaven.

There's an article in the latest issue of Smithsonian Magazine about the one in Ethiopia which the people there believe in.
But remember, Christians say he was taken up into heaven, so there would be no body from which to take DNA.
My own opinion is that he is a fictional character.
