I'm shortly flying from UK to Spain with my 2 children. Are we allowed one piece of luggage of 15kg AND one piece of hand luggage EACH? Or do they not count?

johnathanapples - before you are so rude, read my question properly. Two of the people flying are little children, and I was asking if we are all allowed this luggage EACH. EACH. EACH!!!!!! or if it was 15kg plus one hand luggage between all three of us.

Alright, this is how it goes. You get the one piece of luggage you were mentioning, and the hand luggage. I'm pretty sure this applies to your kids too, yes. The hand luggage could be a laptop, purse, briefcase, etc. (Or in your kids' case a minibackpack or something like that). You can also carry your coat or something like that. If you have a little extra (say your one of your kids is carrying a stuffed animal or something) they're probably not going to have a problem with it, unless the people working at the airport are not in a good mood. Or if the plane is overbooked or weight critical, in which case they might be a little more picky about what you bring on. For the most part, if you have a few extra little things in your hands (books, water, takeout food, or something like that) they won't really make a big deal out of it. Any other suitcase aside from the one carryon suitcase should be checked. Have a good trip!

you are allowed the 15 kgs each hold baggage and one item of hand baggage you will have to be capable of carring the hand baggage so if you have young children they also will have to be capable of carrying hteir own hand baggage you cannot carry it for them also remember the one item per person includes womens handbags so if you have a hanbag that is your one item.
however the one item per person changes on the 7th jan from one to two items of hand baggage so if you are travelling after the 7th the above rules will not apply
the hand baggage mut not exceed 10kg in total but each airline is different check the airline first for instance easyjet allow you to carry as much as you are comfortable with and as long as you can lift into the overhead lockers you will be ok and they dont impose a weight limit at all , not all airlines allow this so check

15kg is fine..

anything that is put in the hold you have to pay for I guess..

as for hand luggage.. you could have a small ruck sack etc.. but don't pack anything in it thats contraband.. like lighters.. razors etc
there is a list of them, just put them in ya luggage that you have to put in the hold/check in

but you have to pay for the baggage you put in the hold, per item.. with some airlines.

Should the kids be fare paying passengers then the full allowance will apply to each of them.

If you paid for their seat, they get the same luggage allowance.
