Yes. I liked it. I am aware of the fact that it is fiction, but it makes an interesting "what if" story. And of course, many people enjoy spinning conspiracy theories. Some may even turn out to be true, or at least have an element of truth to them.

As to whether there exist secret societies that are hiding startling secrets, I am sure there are. I suspect, however, that many of the so-called secrets are really whispered about. The important aspect is any physical evidence that would substantiate the truth of those secrets.

I have also heard it said several times that the so-called "secret societies" mostly have one another's secrets. That is, the sort of thing you can do together when you trust each other because each knows something the other would not want revealed. The movie, "The Good Shepherd" involves the Skull & Bones Society with that concept.

Yes I have. At first I refused to read it because I had just heard that it was about god and religion. As an atheist, I wasn't terribly excited to read about those things. Eventually my curiosity got the best of me and I got it and read it. It was a good book. Dan Brown's prose isn't the most poetic, but it gets the job done. I wish people would stop freaking out about it and realize it's a FICTIONAL book.

I have and enjoyed it, great novel. If you would like some more interesting reading related to the topic, do a web search for Rennes le Chateau, and Father Berenger Sauniere, that will lead you to some interesting reading related to the subject, a story full of intrigue that inspired the novel...

You DO realize that is a fiction novel; The guy who wrote it openly admits he made the whole thing up.
