With the religions that state a one true diety and many other smaller gods (ie angels, saints, demigods etc), is the world ready for a unified religion that will solve all religious problems.

thanks for the answers so far, but try to think from a theological point of view. Not from your religious background. Again most religions have a central deity and smaller demi-gods, are we not already unified in that belief, lets not forget about Wicans, Satanists and others.

The rainbow was likened to human society in this very forum recently. Similarly the various religions serve the same purpose of taking the human to the God.But it is a problem of 'identity'. The most important reason for religious animosities and riots is the feeling of insecurity of being a minority /hurt ego of another faith, both worried about their identities and annihilation of their lot spiritually if not physically.India was a land of diversity since times immemorial ,even before the advent of many religions and was more diverse afterwards. But people lived in absolute harmony for centuries and reacted only when instigated/provoked .The KEY IS NOT TO FIND A UNIFIED RELIGION BUT TO FIND WAYS OF DISPELLING MISTRUST/MISUNDERSTANDING/DOGMA and DEVELOP TOLERANCE/PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE INCULCATING A PENCHANT FOR JOY IN LIVING TOGETHER. Every religion SHOULD HAVE IT'S PLACE. No problem friend, in reality GOD IS ONE and EVERY RELIGION IS THE SAME. Solution lies in making every religion more distinct and respect for each on part of every body and not to club them into one which doesNOT SOLVE ANY PROBLEM BUT CREATES PROBLEMS.

No thanks. I don't want my parents to have to go to Unitarian church.
Religions aren't meant to solve everyone's problems. At least I don't know of any that are.
No matter what religion a person follows, there's an expected portion of hardship involved.
I'm amazed at how much whining goes on about how divine beings don't do everything for us and just hand us our life on a platter. Saddest is that a lot of time its the spiritual doing the whining.

Since religion is becomming more and more taboo, I think we are seeing a unified cult begin to show though :)
We are going to reach an age where you can't say the name of your god in public without being arrested or severely looked down on by society at the very least.

Unfortunately this interfere's with basic freedoms as well. Its just that it is a freedom that fewer and fewer people care about.
Point in fact: Most will tell yout hat they care more about "Freedom of Privacy" than "Freedom of Religion" though the former doesn't actually exist other than as an "umbral" right.
I'm not necessarily a religious person but I think all of our rights should remain intact.

Stick around ... it will be coming soon.

At the 6th seal, 6th trump, 6 vial, Michael will boot satan from heaven to earth (Revelation Chapter 12:6-9). Keep in mind that Revelation is a Prophetic book making the word SAW into the futuristic word "will" fall etc.

When the above happens, you'll see a unified religion with satan at its head.

Satan’s spirit, just as the Holy Sprit, is here, but De facto he is not.

Hopefully. Since how you brought it up, I believe pentecostalism is going to be the one world faith. In South Africa it has almost dominated other faiths and people are converting at a very high rate. But that makes total sense. The bible mentions the day of pentecost, not the day of babtist, or mormon or catholic. As for me I can't wait.

No. We aren't even close. I mean for real we can't even be nice to each other on an Internet forum! So,you can forget a world wide religion!

However, maybe the world can try to understand and tolerate each others very drastic beliefs in a cordial manner. .

Only if the only teachings it has is that the sky is blue. That's about the only thing all religions agree on. I don think that we're getting to the point whee all humanity will be united in some way, but we still have a long ways to go.

human beings oftentimes have faith that issues do not take place in existence 'merely because of the fact', that there is a much better rigidity controlling issues. in line with risk that's frightening to think of that we are all on my own. even although, that's perplexing to look on the superb issues in this worldwide and universe and not think of that there is a greater ideal being. faith is guy's way of celebrating and revering that bigger rigidity or being.

And WHICH god would you suggest? Each monotheistic religion claim their "god" is the only god and all others are false or demons.

For example: Do you really think Christians, Jews and Muslims would worship Odin and believe their Jehovah is secondary?

Not even conceivable at this point.

When the political beast system receives a deadly wound to "one head" Rev 13:3, then the Fallen Angels will come and set up the beast system so it has "one religion". Rev 13:11-18.
