Are you talking about a production pistol? Revolver semi single shot what?
Revolver would be The Zeleska 600 ne revolver. That would be a custom gun. For a production revolver that would be a 500 S&W Mag.
Single shot I have seen some 50bmg single shot pistols. But T/C contenders and encors can be had in many rifle calibers.
In the semiauto world the Desert Egale is top of the heap with the 50 AE. there is a 1911 version that comes in the new propitery 50 GI. While not the most powerfull it is the most functional.
What is cool, to me a cool pistol is one that function as good as it looks. So just about any pistol is cool other than the stupid ugly worthless desert egale

The next time some nit-wit answers a handgun question by just posting Desert Eagle, I'll be tempted to ram my hand down his throat, stick a finger out his rear and then turn them in side out.
A German company makes a revolver, i think it is a four-shot, chambered for the .600 Nitro Express. .500 S&W's and .454 Casulls and .44 RemMag or .475 Linebaughs have nothing on that monster.
And there is no way you could make it "cooler" as it is highly unlikely you could afford the ammo, much less the revolver.

A revolver from Smith & Wesson chambered for the 500 S&W magnum. Vol.1900 w/ME2805 and Vol.1425 w/ME2254 The 460 is faster but only a little less in muzzle energy (2149).
Or a SSK Idustries J.D. Jones single shot custom barrel on a Thompson Contender frame. The very power 416-06 JDJ Vol/2229 with ME/3310 and Vol/2065 with ME/3785

I've never used one, but apparently you can get a .700 handgun, using nitro express bullets. These things are MASSIVE, and cost around $100 per bullet. Also, just to give you an idea of power and size...these guns take down fully grown male african elephants with just one shot; it's the equivalent of a small anti-tank shell, firing from your shoulder/ hand (if your brave/ stupid enough)
How to make it cooler? simply turn it into a gatling gun :]

If you mean one chambered in a pistol cartridge, then the S&W .500 is the most powerful production handgun. But, there are a lot of custom handguns chambered in rifle cartridges such as 45-70 etc that are more powerful.

used to be the .44 mag but I think the .50 cal Desert Eagle auto took that spot, I think it's the champ now, they got a nasty kick but you hit what you aim at as long as you don't try to see how fast you can pop it off, unless you like laying on your back shootin the sky and trees. I have shot one and it takes two hands, if you are not too strong, you don't want one unless you like .50 cal braces cause it WILL come after you if them elbows are not locked up tight

The most powerful handgun? The Maadi-Griffin .50.

What can you do to make it cooler?
Not much. Maybe get some APIT rounds for it, and try not to fall on your rear when you shoot it.
