If we held to every core value that God gave us? Rather than the commercialism which has taintted the true meaning of giving, rather than recieving?

Catlady, really? Hatred during a question about our Lord? God grant you release from satan in Jesus' Name.

Catlady, I have forgiven you before you asked. Mine is not a heart of grudges and hatred. Jesus teaches me love and respect. Remember, our tongues can build or kill. Be at peace dear one.

You are right again Semper. I is also a special time around the house when all the family come together. And we can remember and rejoice about all of the Lords blessings over the past year. Just a personal request to all who are reading this. This is a difficult time of year for all those who have loved ones whom have gone on please pray for them.
This is a difficult time of year for those who are away from home protecting our country please pray for them. This is a difficult time of year for those who are homeless or in prison or have no one to love and care for them please pray for them.

Yes we should think of family, friends and our faith at this time of the year but we should also remember all those who are less fortunate and pray for them.

Since there is no Biblical bases for Christmas and it is Not Christian . . .

Wouldn't it be better if we used the warm and fuzzy feeling that people put on Christmas, and use it everyday of the year in our daily lives and just eliminate the two major deceptions called Christian holidays!

The world would be so much better for us all if we actually practiced what Jesus taught. Instead of being a 'false' Christian wanna-be!

Christ didn't do miracles or show love on '1' day of the year and forget about it the rest of the year . . . did He?

What about an annual Pagan holiday would make us think that this is pleasing to the Father and the Son?

Christmas nor Easter are sanctioned by the Bible, in fact the Bible clearly Forbids participating in ANY type of Pagan ritual or activities. (Le 18:3; De 18:9; 2Ki 17:15)

And for the Easter lovers, did you know that Easter is the name of the Pagan springtime goddess? Or that we are strictly Forbidden to even say her name, let alone associate it with the Resurrection of our LORD and Savior? (Jos 23:7; Ex 23:13)
--------
If we started reading the Bible more and stop listening to those who are "Blind Guides" (and we know what Jesus says about them - Mt 15:14; Mt 23:16; Mt 23:24) The LORD could enlighten and "Unblind us!"

Read your Bibles and learn the truth
God Bless You

I certainly agree with you for feeding the hungry! Gifts are supposed to show your gratefulness or gratitude to God, so if you gift the needy as Jesus said "feed the hungry" then you have already enterd through the doors of heaven. It bothers me that Christmas is only enjoyed by the people who already have everything and who are in good welfare. To live the spirit of Christmas at least try to do something for the people who are in deprivation that really need something to feel good at this time of the Year.

Christmas is about Jesus and I feel we should be praising and worshipping the Lord and helping those who are less fournunate. There is a lot of commeralism and materialism for the Holidays it is not about santa Santa did not die for our sins Jesus did and all of us need to focus on what Christmas is really about which is the Lord Jesus thank you so much for blessing me with this post e4g

That would bring more honor to our Lord than what Christmas seems to have come to mean to many people. It is truly more blessed to give that to receive. Have a blessed Christmas!

Yes, it would be nice if people would remember the needy, but not just at Christmas. People are hungry all year round.
