Honestly, some of the most horrible people I know repent to Jesus and are supposed to be forgiving. The believe he is real and ask for forgiveness to be saved from Hell, etc.
Don't you see a flaw here. People who are horrible, corrupt, gain wealth off of the less fortunate. These people will be supposedly saved from eternity from Hell simply because they believe.
According to the multitude they will be saved regardless if they are rotten people. How can this be?
My Father in law, a prime example. He molested his daughters sold false silver mines to people, killed innocents, took advantage of people whenever he could. He left my wife and his family to survive on their own. Gambled away their house. Towards the tail end of his live he asks for forgiveness from Jesus and he goes to heaven. Don't you see the flaw in this?
Myself, not perfect but not intentionally hurting people. Not trying to harm anything will go to hell for eternity because I can not make that connectio

I know most of you are not stupid, you will say that he must truly repent, leave his ways, etc. But he was on his dying bed, of course he is going to "repent" his death is nie. Come on.. he knows he is going to die and thus he means it.
Most people will applaud his going to Jesus, but in the context that I post this question a lot of you will say otherwise. There is a doublestandard. He will supposedly be in heaven for eternity despite his horrible life while honestly loving people will be roasting in in for eternity.
Can't you see this BS. come out of your shells, out of your bubbles.

Jesus addressed this age-old problem in one of his parables in Matthew ch 20. A landowner hired some men early one morning to work in his field. A denarius was the agreed wage.
Three hours later he found some men standing around and said he would pay them 'whatever is right' if they worked the rest of the day in his fields. They agreed.
Three hours later he did the same, and again - three hours later.
Come evening he gathered all the workers and told his foreman to pay the wages, beginning with the last ones hired going on to the first. Well, the one's who'd only worked one hour got a denarius. In fact, everybody got a denarius. But when those hired early in the morning did not recieve much more, they protested as they had borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day. So the landowner told them it was his right to do as he wished with his money and he'd given them what they'd agreed. 'Or are you envious because I am generous?' Jesus concluded, 'So the last will be first, and the first will be last.' Interesting, isn't it?

The thief on the cross next to Jesus believed right there for the first time, and Jesus told the man that he would be in heaven with Jesus that day.
That thief had no time to come down and do any good deeds. He had no time to do anything at all. Yet he is saved and in heaven today. Are you and I better than that thief? Are you and I better than your father in law? No on both counts. We're all sinners, and we all need to be saved. God does not grade on a curve.
Salvation is a gift of Jesus Christ that we only receive by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

According to the bible, a person who repents is a new person or 'new creation'. If they are really a changed person, and not the same anymore, why would you expect them to be treated the same?
If someone really hasn't changed, but they are just pretending to, do you really think that God would let them be excused for that?
We don't know what is going on in people's hearts. But we do understand forgiveness when someone tries to make up for their wrongs. You wouldn't punish your children forever for something they did when the were 2 years old, if they are now a wonderful child?
Christianity isn't about letting people off the hook, but it is about recognizing God's ability to heal a person's spirit, and bring them back from sin.

It's not for you or anyone else to say that he went to heaven.
That's not the reason for you to believe.
You believe, if you do, because you come to know the grace of a merciful God in forgiving you for the things that you know you have done wrong and gives you new life and peace.
Jesus Christ is a real person, he's not a concept that you accept on your death bed if not before.

Here is the new agish take on that.
Christ is the Christ consciousness (forebrain) that is present in all of us and is what makes us 'human'. Its actually our God center, which is the Child of God or Jesus part of us.
When our conscous mind learns to work in harmony with our Christ center (or Jesus), we begin a phase of very rapid spiritual growth. This shifts our consciousness from the physical aspects of our lives to the spiritual
But the mind must make the decision to explore this Christ Center, or must 'repent' of it's former physical mentality, or reject the illusion that we are separate from God. We move to the understanding that we are spiritual, astral beings temporarily inhabiting a physical body.
That is why the crucifixion of Christ, or the shedding of the body, is very symbolic and sacred. The act demonstrates our victory over flesh, our connecting with our devine, infinte spiritual selves.

You don't know what happens to people after they die so don't go assuming the bad go to heaven just because they ask for forgiveness. There are many religions out there offering much more feasible reasonings - explore your world a little more. Check out the buddhism.

God gets the glory! praise His name! When someone really asks for forgiveness He will touch them & they will live for Him. Its sad when there are so many that may think just because they ask Jesus in their heart to forgive them & they don't live for Him then this would show how repentant they truly are. Sad. God knows their heart. Look @ Cain in Genesis. He killed his brother all because he didn't want to do what God said to do. When we do what He wants He will bless us. Maybe not financially or even outwardly but He will bestow blessings upon us when we truly live for Him!

You sound angry at a lot of people. Put that anger away and come to Jesus.
Peace and happy Christ-mas!
EDIT - If Christianity is a racket because we say it offers forgiveness, then how much more of a racket is atheism for saying there's no God and you can get away with whatever you feel like forever? Some of these clowns need to think before posting...
