Dear Daughter:
While your resolution sounds wonderful, I'm afraid the effect may be the opposite of what you want. If you study the life of Jesus, He lead by example and not by cramming things down people's throats. Before He preached, He fed. My favorite passage is from John 4, His encounter with the woman at the well. He never criticized her for her multiple marriages or for living with a man who wasn't her husband. His discussion with her is absolutely brilliant in breaking down her reserves and the walls she had put up for so many reasons. You cannot force God down anyone's throat.
In love, I am suggesting that you seek to have relationship with people first. I don't mean you have to know them for five years but let the Holy Spirit guide you as to how to approach people. You may want to tell them directly. Sometimes you will be directed to just listen to them. The bottom line is to seek a context from which you can share the love of Christ. You will be oh, so much more effective that way.
Thank you for your warm wishes. I hope you have the very best Christmas and an absolutely fabulous New Year.

That's a terrific resolution. I hope you are able to keep it, but understand that it can be much harder than you think. Don't be disappointed if you find that some of the people will not listen or that you find it very hard to tell some people. You know that God prepares the hearts of people to hear the truth and you may run into a number of people who God has not prepared or who have already rejected him. Right? So, just remember that it's God who changes people's hearts and all you can do is explain who God is and what he's done for you.

The year begins at the first (new moon) of ABIB, which follows the vernal equinox. (That is why some believers were called "April fools" because they refused to acknowledge the Heathen "New Year" on January first.) The name of the Savior is YAHOSHUA. (It means YHVH is my Savior) and Acts 4:12 tells us there is only one name under Heaven by which a person can be saved. To be blunt: unless you obey, you will die!

My new year's resolution would be to debunk the Jesus myth every time I come across it, except that I'm not into new year's resolutions, so I'll do it only when I'm in the mood.

Did a historical Jesus exist?
http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm
[Excerpt]
ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS
No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.
Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge.
Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay provides no proof or good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it.

Face it religion is a con, and only out to make money out of deluding impressionable idiots like you. Can't you see the riduculousness of what you're saying?
Merry Christmas to you anyway, hope you get lots of presents, because that's what it's about.

A New Year's resolution is not supposed to be about changing other people.
It's supposed to be about improving yourself.
Unless you think you are perfect?
