When I first got my license, I'd rent a car once a month on a special $9.99/day weekend deal from Enterprise, which is not much money-very cheap. I did that to keep up & continuing to practice driving. Many people were like, "YOU BETTER STOP RENTIN' DEM CARS! OK, KEEP ON RENTIN' DEM CARS, YA HEAR?!"

Whats wrong with renting a car? seem smart to me, so that you can continue practicing driving, and so when you do get your own car you'll be comfortable driving, you won't feel like you have forgotten to drive =]

There's nothing wrong with that, but the money you are spending to rent the car could be saved back to buy your own car. Or make a down payment on a nice car. :D

Happy Holidays :)

Sounds fine to me! If you live in the big city and don't need a full time ride why not! All the other time you're on a bus or a subway or whatever and don't need the hassle of parking, insurance, etc...there's no law that says you can't rent......happy motoring!

I'm surprised Enterprise would rent a car that cheaply to someone who just got her license, unless you got your license after your teenage years. But if you would rather practice driving on a car that doesn't belong to you, it makes plenty of sense to me.

IN THE TOWN i live in. Which is a drug infested town. Tha tis what the dealers do here, they rent cars so they cant be tracked so as frequently as if they were using the same car. i dont know the circumstances in your area, but tha would b my guess.

do what makes you happy. keep in mind, once the rental price exceeds the monthly cost of vehicle price, insurance and maintenance then it is time to consider buying
