I am 45 and my periods just stopped completely about 3 months ago but for the last 2 years, all night long I would sweat under the covers and then uncover myself only to get so cold that the palms of my hands would feel like they were burning. It didn't matter how many blankets I would use to cover up, I would get the chills really bad. But I had to have the fan on whenever I would go to sleep, still to wake up sweating like crazy, then freeze and get chilled when I kicked the blankets off. It does sound like menopause. Menopause is a natural process that all women go through and to have it occur naturally and get through it without getting sliced open and have all your stuff removed is definitely a blessing because you probably won't need hormone therapy. Good luck and I hope you feel better. :)
