never dye your hair when its wet
if u ABSOLUTELY have to wash it before
make sure its completely dry before applying dye
also when washing afterward
dont use too much shampoo and dont use conditioner until the next day
some color will come out in the water for a few days
dont worry its normal

Just go by the instructions on the packet. Generally, the temporary colours will instruct you to wash your hair first and the more permanent dyes will instruct you to wash your hair after.

u normally have to apply to dry hair so if yr hair needs washing eg if ur have a lot of product on it then u should wash and dry it before applying the dye. just follow the instruction s on the particular one u have got.

Definitely not before you dye it. My friend has told me that you should not wash it for at least a day after to let the color sink in.

My hairdresser always washes it afterwards . She says hair will absorb dye anyway if you apply it properly. It has to be perfectly dry whatever you do she says.

Do whatever the manufacterer directions tell u to do, all are different, that is the reason they give u the little paper with the directions on it. That ensures u get the results u want.....

If it's semi-permanent, then you should wash it first to make the hair more porous. If it's got bleach in it, then you should apply it dry.
