how can i find out how to get copies of past news papers from that month. it was a police chase that ended with a person dead. i really need to get the clippings of this day and any others that followed after that day. please if anyone knows how to do this I would really appreciate it. thank you

Libraries normally carry back issues of the local newspaper. You could start there.

I'm sure the publisher saves back issues too, but it would be easier to research at the library.

Try going to your local Library. They would certainly have the newspaper archived and could give you a photo copy of the article. Another thing you could do is go right to the source; in other words, go to where the press office for the newspaper in question. They usually have extra copies of newspapers archived as well. Just remember, for either of these, there will be some small fee. Many newspapers also archive previous editions on their website also.

Start by calling the sameto newspaper?
They should have copies of past articles on file.
That is if they are a paper of any size.
Some smaller newspapers in smaller towns don't have the resources that larger one's do.
But start with contacting the sameto newspaper.
Where is sameto. Is it in Calif?

Go to the library and ask whether they are subscribing for LexisNexis Academic. It provides full-text documents from over 5,600 news, business, financial, legal, medical, and general reference publications with a variety of flexible search options.
LexisNexis Academic contains backdated articles from major newspapers from around the world. Try it.

you could try the web site of the newspaper, and most newspapers have a deparment where they will be glad to find the copy for you for a small fee.
