hi, i am currently in early days of pregnancy and i thought of some names before i even became pregnant.
What do you think of Khalisah for a girl (means pure) you say it like KA-LEE-SAH
and Esa for a boy (aka jesus Alaihis salaam) you say it EE-SA
Thanks!

i like that there's culture behind the name. it gives it more meaning. i've heard of esa before, but not khalisah. it's very unique. i like it.

It depends. They are both Arabic names, so are you or the baby's father Arabic? I think a name should reflect the child's roots, knowing your history is an important part of growing up and the origin of the childs' own name is a good way of giving the child a connection to this.
If the child is Arabic, then I think Khalisah is a nice name, and I would imagine later in life her friends will shorten it to just Khali, which I think would be pronounced the same as the name 'Carly'.
Don't know about Esa. I've got a mate called Asad, which he said means "lion". I think that's a cool meaning for a name.

I think Khalisah is a lovely name and Esa isn't bad but it might sound a little feminine when he's older. It's your choice though and i'm sure that when you hold your baby for the first time, the right name will just come to you!

salaam. esa is a wonderful name. muhammad s.a.w recomended to name ur children after the prophets. the most beloved names to allah is abdullah an abdul rahman. so try to name ur sons this but esa is also beautiful. also jus to advise u, while one is pregnant try to ingage urself in much worship if u want ur child to be good an pious, dont swear read much qur'an an try not 2 get angry, these can all affect the baby in different ways whether it be spirituali mentali or physicali.

Hi, there nice names but i think with the boy name Esa, kids in his school would make fun of him and it sounds a bit feminine. khalisah is a different name and to me sounds very beautifull.
Good luck.

i like them! what are you going to call "bump" before he/she arrives? i can remember when my cousin had her daughter about 40 years ago. she named her samantha & i was the only 1 in the family who liked it! no one else's opinion matters anyway; it's your baby, you name him/her whatever you want. as a Christian, i obviously like esa & khalisah is lovely. hope you have an idyllic pregnancy & all the best for the labour. diane.
