my mom used to have a dream about something.. then it would happen?? for example she dreamt she would slice her hand then days later she broke a glass and got cut badly.. i cant think of anyother examples at the time but what does this mean?

a) nothing- coincidence.
b) she knew she was clumsy and often cut her hand, sometimes she dreamed about it.
c) After dreaming she would cut herself she subconsciously made it happen.
d) she wanted to impress you with her amazing prediction powers, and after claiming that she dreamed about cutting herself would purposely do so.
I personally would go for a)

It means the Creator was giving her "inside" information - telling her what was coming.
These kind of dreams can be a type of warning or caution if we pay attention to them.
Most of us miss the warning however, and only clue in after the fact!
I have only had a few dreams of this sort, but my daughter has many.
This is one reason we are wise if we pay attention to our dreams!

Sometimes premonitions are warnings from God about things to come to pass. But the difference is that some things you see that are bad can be avoided. Some things you see in premonitions do not neccessarily have to happen, but you have to clearly listen to God's voice in order to avoid them. I used to have the same types of premonitions until I learned that I could avoid some troubles that I was seeing, before they happened.
