i need to know this for my contact friends and some ladies who bothered to give answer to my questions during the year.and their ages differ

Ms is always appropriate. Usually adult women aren't called "miss"... not if they're over, say, 30 anyway. And Ms can mean married or unmarried.

You can use the abbreviation Ms., which is for a woman who is or is not married (it sounds like "mizz"). "Miss" is for unmarried, Misses is for married. madam may sound a little weird. Stick with Ms.

It is safe in French culture to call someone Madame, if you dunno her marital status, I guess in English you can say Dear nice lady Angela Harrison or whatever her name is
