it's a good excerise but weight loss comes from eating habits (80-90%) & excerise accounts for (10-20%) of weight loss. if you excerise it will come off faster but you really need to change your eating habits

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Yes. If you burn more calories than you consume. Everyday your body uses calories/energy just to keep itself alive, for functioning organs, muscle etc. For you this number could be anywhere from 1200-2000 calories. If your basal metabolic rate (the amount your body burns each day for staying alive) is say 1500 and you eat 1500 and then do some dancing, burning 250 then you have a 250 calorie deficit. Each pound is made up of 3500 calories, so if you have a 250 calorie deficit for 2 weeks, then you'll lose a pound.
www.calorie-count.com has lots of helpful information and a community which will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Any action can help you lose weight, I don't think just hip rolling would help too significantly, but it's a start.
Try it for 30 minutes a day everyday, but of course you'll need to understand a diet would also need to be established if you were really wanting to see the changes quick.

Yes it will lose weight, if you also observe planned diet. It is better to do some planned aerobic dancing because then you can concentrate on the areas you need more weight (or fat) loss. Just shaking around might not work well.

You can. How fast and how much depends on how long and vigorously you dance. This will not work if you eat more calories than you work off, though, so watch the diet as well.
BTW, loose is how you hope your clothes become-dropping pounds is LOSING weight.

If you are dancing energetically and continuously, and you heart is beating fast for at least 20 minutes you will then start to burn stored energy (fat / excess calories). So if you want to burn enough to begin to lose weight, or preferably to build muscle and lose fat, you should do this for at least one hour 3 days per week or at least 30 minutes per day. You should also increase your protein intake to build muscle and decrease your fat intake if you would like to tone up, but remember you need a balance so some fat is essential.

As long as you get your heart rate up, get an aerobic workout from it, then you could do it for 30 minutes, and that would help.
Diet and exercise. You've also got to eat healthy.
If its just a little bit of movement, and not really getting your heart rate up, then its not really going to do anything to loose weight.
