PS I mean permanently, not temporarily?

Also....no, it's not exactly the website: on my laptop, drop-down menus appear all the time and they really irritate me. Is there any way of getting rid of them on my laptop?

E.G. If I want to Google something, a drop-down menu appears listing everything I've searched before. Can I get rid of these?

do you have IE7?
-click tools
-click internet options
-click General (tab on the top left)
-click delete...(under browsing history section)
-delete your history and temporary internet files. you can delete your cookies if you want.

-click advanced (tab on the top right.)
-scroll down and uncheck "Use Inline Auto Complete"

that should do it.

if you dont have the "tools" menu, then right click on your IE7 icons and click menu bar (you can always do it again to turn it off.
