Yes. In Japan, people are supposed to eat pumpkin of some sort on Solstice to help prevent colds in the coming year. Often, these are mashed up with potato starch and fried (really yummy! like gnocchi, actually). Also, many people make up "shiruko" which is a sweet, heated bean soup. And a lot of people will take a bath with a couple of yuzu citrus floating in the water.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing,cranberry sauce, vegetables..carrots, peas,corn, desserts..mainly rich pastries.
