None of hindu god is real, they are imaginary and manifestation of certain natural forces.
In original veda there is no concept of god. Aryans(vedic religion) used to worship only fire, water, air, earth etc.
Some gods were later copied from Shramanic system (jainism) , indegenous dravidian religion, which existed as before as Indus valley civilization of 5000 years.
Apart from these most of south Indian gods are converted and renamed form of dravidian jain gods (thirthankars) eg. Venkatesha perumal( tirupati balaji)originaly 22nd thirthankar of dravid jainism, Varadaperumal,
Arunachaleshwara( original lord rishbhavdev temple).
There is none called Rama ever existed as mythology say he is 1.7 million years old and some recent hindu organisations claim 7000 years old, but as per historical experts , if at all rama existed , he did use horses for sacrifice and for chariot, but in india horses did not exists before 3000 years.
So concept of Rama, Ganesha, vishnu , brahma are aryans concepts bought from Europe, hence imaginary.
None of Hindu god can ever by proved to be real as they are manifestations of reincarnation(identity theft) of certain dravidian practiced jain gods and natural forces worshipped by Aryans. Even the soul, karma, non-violance are concepts which are as it is copied from jainism to hinduism.
there is no religion like Hinduism and no gods called hindu gods. Hinduism is only a social order and common word derived by britishers for Indian society as a common name.
Rama is a imaginary god, as imanginary as spiderman.
I hope some time later even spiderman becomes a god say after 1000 years just because there would be some literature talking about it. Present disney american literature would be holy and sacred mythology of future.

Rama is believed to be a human incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Lord Vishnu according to Hindu concepts has taken on 9 incarnations so far and the tenth and last is awaited.
Rama is the eight and Krishna is the last.
There is a belief that Rama was a historical figure, a king who ruled parts of northern India say about 2000 or so years ago.
Even the Indian govt in a case in the Supreme Court of India had to deny that the historical Rama ever existed
Regarding the Dravidian connection, Rama is believed to have traveled down South to Southern most parts of the Indian Subcontinent, and from there traveled to Sri Lanka,
where legend has it that a David Goliath fight took place between him and the demon king Ravana.
Because of this south Indian tour connection Rama is seen by some as of being Dravidian stock

The words-outer and inner are relative to body only, In reality all is one, the outer being merely a projection of the inner. Awareness comes from a higher dimension. Constant repetition of the Mantra is something the person does not do for one's own sake The beneficiary is not the person, just like a candle which does not increase by burning

anything can be termed a 'god'.
It depends on how much time and effort you give it.
The Bible mentions the ' god of good luck'
(ISAIAH 65:11) “But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny.
Even Satan is termed a ' god'
(2 CORINTHIANS 4:4) among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
