A throw is much smaller. Something you throw over yourself while you are watching TV for example. Its bigger than a baby blanket but a lot smaller than a bedspread.

well as far as i know, a throw is something you decorate the bed with or fold at the end of the bed that has colour and is warm, and spread it over your bed when youre cold at night, and a bedspread is the permanent top blanket that you make your bed with.
