We've been dating 2 years and before we knew each other he liked a girl at his college in a few of his classes and had a crush on her, but discovered she had a boyfriend. I found this out later after we had been dating maybe 6 months and they were still friends, just at school not hanging out or talking on the phone but once in a while on AIM. He said last spring he didnt talk to her anymore, and I found out today she transfered to his new college and they have been talking back and fortht his past semester, he swears just school stuff. Now it REALLY bothers me they are friends, he doesn't have any other girls he talks to aside from saying hi to someone from highschool. He swears over and over he doesn't like her like that and he loves me and no one else and doesn't think of her like that at all. What do you think is it possible he's over his past crush?

I think it's quite possible that he's just friends with her. He probably got to know her and developed a real friendship that lasts even though the romance thing is past. It's very possible. Well, anything is possible, but I don't see what he says as being far fetched at all.

You're right if you fight her back you'll end up looking like an idiot and this girl would be the angel of the story. Maybe it is what she wants! So what you can do is clamly and rationally sit down with your life partner and tell him in a nice calm way to break it off with this woman, tell him honestly what you feel and if he cares about you and your child he MUST understand. But don't do anything rad cause she will have actually won this battle but you got everything on your side to win the war so don't blow it! Be an ice Queen and the bigger person here!!!

It is really hard to say what is going on. If you don't back off, you may loose him because you are acting insecure, and nagging. Watch from a distance, and let him know that it makes you feel uncomfortable. Don't nag.

I'd admit i would feel the same as you.
I'm a really jealous person (yes im insecure) but you have to go with your own instinct.
Maybe sit down with him and tell him exactly how you feel, Tell him you feel jealous about this girl, even threatened.
Ask him how he would feel it he was in your shoes.

Good Luck!

No need to get worked up. She transferred to the college and he happened to be someone she knew, so she talks to him.

trust him. you might break up just by you asking him over and over about it. and if you dont trust him, you wont have a good, close relationship. it may feel like an uncomfortable situation for you though, maybe you should tell him how you feel, or go to a phsycologist or something.

if he swears by it, I would believe him, if something was going on he wouldn't be open and talk to you like this, he would probably avoid the subject all together. I believe you have nothing to worry about.

It's possible they could just be friends, but to be on the safe side...I wouldn't suggest they spend any alone time together...thats pushing it a little.

You gotta trust that he is telling the truth...until you see hard evidence to prove they are more than friends...just relax and enjoy the relationship
