First of all, at what point do you have to send it through the post office? If it can fit in the mailbox, can you send it by mail? Where do you put the adress and labels? Does it cost anything? I've never f*cking done this before!!

you can send a small package (small box or any size padded envelope) in the mail, but postage (amount of stamps needed to ship the package) depends on the weight of the package or where it's going and if you don't have enough stamps, it'll be sent back to you. So it would be more covenient to take it to a post office because they know shipping charges and have scales, and everything. But you can send packages in the mail, as long as you use enough stamps.

As for the address, you do it just like a standard letter envelope; your return address goes in the upper left corner and the address where it's being shipped goes in the center.
