how do you deal with a bratty little sister who wont leave you alone?

my little sister is a year younger than me. today she locked herself in my moms room with the phone and threw a tantrom about how i was the worst sister ever and that she hated me. I love her so much, and it kills me that she thinks that about me. she always keeps her feelings bottled up inside and then complains that nobody would care about her. but the truth was she just wouldnt tell us what was going on. can somebody please help me to make her stop being such a brat? PLEASE?!

I have a Lil sis too she is one year younger than me. She is also very quite. What I did was play a game with her, I would write personal questions and give then to her to answer she would, that kept me more aware about what was going on with her. I also made sure she always knew my stuff although she would later that same day tell my mother. However, she starter trusting me and being more my friend than anyone else she is still very conservative and up til this day she still tells my mom everything but I could not live with out her even if I tried. you talk to her about you and she will release little bits of her feelings when she starts trusting you. What Trigger her to lock herself up? Were you talking to another friend on the phone because they do get jealous. And fights like that are what you laugh about later so treasure then.

Well, try to understand that you have to love before you can hate. If a person doesn't care then they don't hate. They're just indifferent. She's growing up and going through some feelings. These phases are necessary for growth. Just give her some time and she'll come 'round.

I am 22 and my sister is 17.
You should just pull back a bit.
Ignore her and her behavior...either she will stop or you will just have to cut ties until she grows up a bit.

Maybe you could plan an activity with her, just you and her..and try talking to her about why she's acting out. Chances are she looks up to you soo much, you'll be the person she listens to
