Normally when the insurance policy start date and the citation date are the same, contact is made with the insurance agency to see what time the policy went into effect. If the insurance time was prior to the citation time, you should be good to go with the minor amount for just not having proof of insurance in your vehicle. If you got the insurance after the citation was issued, then you will be found guilty for no insurance. If that's the case, better cross your fingers on if the judge will cut you some slack or not since you did get insurance.

Will depend upon the time you were ticketed and the time you actually became covered by insurance. Your Insurance Verification Card will state a date your insurance bagan and an expiration date.
The two states in which I received tickets for not having proof of insurance only required me to send a copy of my Insurance Verification Card to the city/county issuing the ticket. My error was not carrying my card in my car--it was in a drawer at home.
Always carry your Verification Card in your glove compartment or the console of your car.

well the question is did you have insurance established prior to the ticket...if you did then you should be fine and just having proof should eliminate any ticket...but, technically if you went and purchased insurance after you were ticketed then you probably with still be fined because that is the whole point to your fine and warning...to get your attention that you were driving without required insurance coverage....otherwise be honest do you think you would have made a "B" line to get insurance had you not been ticketed....

if you have a local insurance company they should be able to just print you a copy of the card so you can take it to the h.p. but you should have about 7 days to do it....but did u get insurance after you got ur ticket or did u have it before. ....if you got insurance after then...you will end up having to pay a hefty fine. but if you got insurance before the ticket...they can drop it-no problem...good luck

Probably not, if you had the insurance at 2pm and got pulled over at 3pm you would have had the temporary card to show the cop so they may not be so forgiving. They have heard all the excuses and seen all the scams you could even think about pulling so many times it isn't even funny.

It depends on what time you got the insurance - your payment docket will have the time on it. If the time says you got the ticket before the insurance you're screwed.

If the insurance paperwork is timestamped, make sure that it is before the time of the ticket, if it isn't timestamped then it should work as proof of insurance. Good luck!
