If God is Just and a God of Love, would he torture us for eternity?

I am talking about after the second death, if we don't obey him

From my study of the Bible, when we die, we exist no more, no feeling, no brain. In the Bible, it says that the righteous and unrighteous will be resurrected, but if we don't obey God's rules, then we will just be hurled back into our Grave (hell) and exist no more, while others who obey, go to that everlasting life. This is called the Second Death.

I believe the same way as you. The true and correct way. Hell is where we have no conscious, our grave.

God does not torture, nor does he tempt. It is we that choose to be separated from God for an eternity in a literal hell. God did not make hell for people. He made hell for Satan and the angels who followed him in his rebellion. God has done everything possible to be sure no human being would be in hell unless he chose to be there. Sending Jesus to die for the sin of all humankind made this possible. Believe on Christ and you will not see hell. The Bible is clear that all humankind will exist somewhere after this physical body dies. Where you spend eternity is a free will choice. Choose Jesus and hell is a non issue.

Hell is the common grave. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

Jehovah God is a God of Love and will not torture anyone for eternity. (John 3:16, John 17:3)

Jesus spoke over 110 times about hell in his sermons and teachings. Yes there is most diffinitly a place called Hell that is reserved for the Devil and his followers. There are 2 judgements described in the Bible. 1 is for believers and this will not be a judgement concerning our salvation or where we will spend eternity. No that judgement was made 2000 yrs ago when God judged Jesus Christ in our place. Jesus Christ took all our sin upon himself and bore our sin debt and paid our sin debt. Our judgement will not be a judgement for salvation. that has already been determined. But rather our judgement will be for service. where we will be rewarded for the service we have rendered unto the Lord.
The other Judgement is the Great white throne judgement mentioned in the book of Revelation. And It will not be a judgement concerning your salvation either. That will already be determined by then to. If you stand befor God as a sinner at that time all that you will be able to do is recieve your punishment for failing to recieve Jesus Christ as your saviour.
And yes at that time God will cast you nto the refuse heap called the Lake of Fire or Hell.

Recieve Jesus before it is too late! If you die in your sins it will be too late! there will be no hope! Get Saved!

it is just our grave as the bible states.
Unending Torment or Common Grave?
Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death. What, then, is hell? Examining what happened to Jesus after he died helps to answer that question. The Bible writer Luke recounts: "Neither was [Jesus] forsaken in Hades [hell, King James Version] nor did his flesh see corruption."* (Acts 2:31) Where was the hell to which even Jesus went? The apostle Paul wrote: "I handed on to you . . . that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) So Jesus was in hell, the grave, but he was not abandoned there, for he was raised up, or resurrected.

I find the thought of hell quite strange. God, the father of us all will send us to eternal damnation for not worshiping him as he dictates in an ancient text that was written well after the last time he, as God, spoke directly to his children.

Our lives are not but a pin prick on the time line of eternity but for such a small mistake, you'll suffer the rest of eternity in a fiery pit. How could a father be so petty?

the church threatens you with hell, and makes sins out of natural, everyday feelings and events. Sex, hate, envy, greed, all natural, but wrong. So off to hell you go, BUT, attend church, ask for forgiveness and donate to the pastor or priest and your good for a week.

The Church is the only entity that benefits from the fear of hell.

I believe there is a Hell. God is Just and Loving- However He will not allow sin to enter heaven. Every that has heard of Jesus dieing on the cross for our sins has no one to blame if they do not make it into heaven but themselves. God wants everyone to accept Him. Hell will be torture for eternity- people think this life is hell- this is nothing!

HELL

is a literal place
it IS NOT a nothingness feel nothing no nothing place

ITS outer darkness

you know , you hear , you understand
and FEAR . Seperation , KNOWING you are
yet without ability to do anything about anything
not walking around , not going here to there
Just nothingness of nothingness
your just there !!!

YOu can hear others
afar off , just cant see , nor go to or get away from
Cold yet HOT , Hopelessness , Fear , dread , worry
all things yet without ability to do anything about it

imagine yourself just hearing and not seeing
imagine yourself feeling , yet not abe to feel
imagine yourself alone , and not able to change it
imagine to hear , yet not being able to speak back
imagine yourself speaking , yet no one can hear you
imagine being cold and shivering , at the same time Hot and unbearable
imagine yourself seperate in darkness
and cant move , nor see , nor go to or come from
imagine a place where every rememberence is there
yet cant change any of them
imagine a place where one is seperate from LIFE itself
yet know its happening without you

HOPELESSNESS is all i can use to attempt to explain its feeling..........and worse Knowing you were wrong...and knowing you deserve to be there...all because of being to stubborn to accept the TRUTH and doing it

and knowing all your life was wasted , just to wind up there
having nothing , being able of nothing , yet knowing all along
it coud have been different had you just LISTENED

the scariest thing of all was knowing I DESERVED IT
and could have did different just by doing it as was told to !!

Thank GOD for the mercy and hearing me
and even for allowing me to experience it it only for a moment
And the ability to tell others it is REAL
it is a place , and it is a torment words cannot explain
HOPELESSNESS TRUE HOPELESSNESS
is all i can use to begin to tell
people say they are hopeless here , yet can go or do or ask or provide or find a way to change it
THERE you CANT !!!
YOUR just STUCK and have nothing to do nothing to see nothing yet KNOW it all...IS !!!!

have no other way to explain it

IT IS REAL
I KNOW
I WAS THERE............

GOD and HIS MERCY
and HIM ALONE
FREED ME FROM IT

JESUS is GOD
HE SPOKE MY NAME

You are correct when you say "our grave". Since the Bible teaches us that "the dead are conscious of nothing at all", we know the "firey lake" is symbolic for not being remembered in God's mind.
