I'm moving to Olympia this summer to attend nursing school at South Puget Sound Community College. I'm interested in renting a studio/one-bedroom in one of the older apartment buildings downtown close to the capitol building and within walking distance to that "main street" with all of the shops, bars, and restaurants. Does anyone have any places they could recommend? I don't mind one of those fading, red-brick numbers with character; in fact, I've lived in places like those most of my adult life as I've been a perpetual student most of my adult life. I don't want to rent in a building with baseheads, tweakers, or gangbangers. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

This section is for Washington DC not the state of Washington.

Okay, there is Washington, DC, on the East Coast--you know, near the Atlantic Ocean--and there is Washington State, where Olympia is, near the Pacific Ocean. Look at a freaking MAP, would you?

Besides being a racist, you are also a dumb***. Washington DC is not even close to Olympia Washington.

Maybe you should get a job vs being a perpetual student.
