My favourite movies belong to the 50s and 60s,such as the Musicals, Epics, and Biblical. The photography was superb, even back then and the sound quality, while not as exciting as the digital surround of today ,was very good. The cinema screens were larger and deeply curved to put you in the action than they are today.
For example Oklahoma! was the first movie shot in Todd-AO
Gran Prix and 2001 :A Space Odyssey were filmed in Super Cinerama 70 MM
Ben-Hur was in Camera 65 the widest aspect ratio ever filmed
This would only be of interest to older folks who were old enough back then to appreciate them.
