Well praise God for that! True repentance makes you a member of the Body of Christ, the Church - which is not any denomination but all those people who belong to him.
You will find hypocrites in every congregation, as you do in every political party, every business, every man-made organization. There is no such thing as the perfect church - if there was, and you joined it, it would no longer be perfect! So just keep your eyes on Jesus and follow him, wherever he leads you. He knows just the right congregation where you can be built up in the faith and be a blessing to others. Seek his guidance, pray, and keep studying the Bible.

Begin reading and studying the scriptures. I suggest that you set a regular time each day to study the Bible and do so each and every day. I would also pray several times every day. These are habits that I have had and they assist me in remaining faithful. I also belong to a couple of prayer sites that are wonderful (online). I attend services three times every week. We have a Bible Study midweek. We have Sunday School/Bible study on Sunday morning followed by our morning service and evening services every Sunday also. I email lots of reminders out to our church members about things going on with our members and things that are needing to be done as well as nice little positive emails to keep everyone remembering those who are ill or needing prayers. Have a wonderful weekend and a great LORD'S DAY!
Thanks,
Eds

A priest once told a lady who accused his flock of hypocritecy that His church could always use one more. So stop judging and lead the way.

Don't listen to everyone on here, rather read your bible and God will lead you if you follow his guidance. It's not a "sin" to not go to church, but I believe Christians are supposed to be around other christians for support and encouragement. Good luck.

My pastor told me years ago that if you let the hypocrites interfere in your walk with God, then you are putting the hypocrites closer to God than you are. Don't let anyone come between you and your relationship with God. Pray for his guidance and he will direct your path.

You know, you don't HAVE to attend church - or THAT church, for that matter. I'm guessing, from your language, that you're not of one of the older Christian religions (Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran...), so is taking communion an issue? Are you required to confess?
