Hello, I write because of my friend. shes constantly wearing her glasses since she's kurzsichtig. I have nothing against them however, i would be delighted if she could take them off for a couple of hours at partys,clubs . she doesnt like the idea. Now I have found by coincidental an eyeglass passport found with the werten. I would have now gladly known whether her vision is that bad and whether it is not to be zuzumuten it really to at least sometimes go some time without eyeglasses. In the passport were located the following. OD Sphere -4.25 -1.5 100°// OS Sphere -4.00 -2.0 50°

If she takes them off she can't see things clearly if they are further away than about 15 cm. So she wouldn't have much fun at a party without them.
Why are you so insistent on making her leave her glasses off? Its none of your business or concern, leave it up to her, she is happy the way she is. And quit snooping around in her stuff, looking at her passport and so on. You are not a good friend if you do that.
She should find new friends.

I bet she does have poor vision, what makes you think she'd wear them all the time if she didn't?
Poor girl, she must not even see what's in front of her with them off, and you don't even know how frustrating that can be.
I personally hate wearing them, and happened to get an eye infection the day I had a graduation party. I just went without them, and "toughed it out": By the time I got there, I wished I had taken them even if I don't like them. In fact, people who are not really close to me don't even know I can't see since i ALWAYS wear contacts, so I couldn't just show up there wearing rimmed glasses. But the fact is that, if she needs them, she is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT not to take them off if that makes her feel insecure.

she has vision poor enough to not drive legally without glasses in germany

Yeah she has a high prescription. . .that she has to wear them all the time. If she took them off, she wouldnt see a thing.
