more info pls?...do you have microsoft office picture manager? or adobe album starter? bcuz there are numerous programs that you can resize with. Just find the resize option and it should give you options such as 800x600 or 640x400. etc... If you don't or can't find a program on your pc to resize with you can register an account on photobucket or imageshack and upload it from your computer and the site will allow you to resize it afterwards. good luck!

I had the same question a while back. There is a free download available from Microsoft that does this. Go to Microsoft.com and search for 'image resizer'. The program downloaded fast and works with a simple right click to the mouse. The program will allow you to resize your picture to 3 or 4 different options. Fast, easy and effective.

Their should be a setting on your camera to use smaller file size. I have an expensive camera, if I leave it set to factory default it takes poster size images. Great for lots of detail but it uses a lot of memory.

Try to find the file size settings in your camera and set it down one or two levels. If that is not an option there is a simple but effective image viewer which also allows you to resize images quickly and easy. It can also convert a whole batch of pictures just my moving all of the filenames into it's working directory. (I also use this feature to rename audio book files that don't always have the book name in the segment names.) It is available here:

As for me, I do it the easiest way.

1) right click on the picture. it will say, "Open With......"
2)Choose 'Paint"
3) When the picture is already in "Paint," ....Save it or Save As...
