Atheists deserve as many blessings as Christians and a Merry Christmas. This is coming from a Christian who doesn't understand Christians who believe Christmas only belongs to them. I have some really wonderful friends who are atheists. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and anything else you celebrate to make the season merry.

I am fine celebrating Christmas, but not with religious connotations. I even have Christians in my family who believe that Christmas is tree worship and anti-Christian. Go figure!
Christmas is descended from Pagan traditions at the Winter Solstice. I don't have to celebrate those, either.
Thanks for your wishes! I intend to drink eggnog, wrap presents, and to have a wonderful time with family!

Christmas is a federal holiday financed by all taxpayers regardless of their religion (or lack,) so anyone who chooses to celebrate gets to. This is what happens when you lobby the government to become a theocracy, when it was already officially secular.
Don't feel bad - Christmas was stolen property to begin with, so it's not like they really lost anything.
And a very Merry Christmas to you, too.
:D

How could a true atheist have a merry Christmas when the whole celebration is predicated on the belief that there is a God?
That would be a complete contradiction to what they stand for.
It would, in my opinion seem hard to be positive about much of anything in life when one doesn't believe in a being greater than them; but not just any being, a God who is kind and personal. How could there be any optimism if this crappy life is all there is then you die and that's it?
That is a pretty hopeless viewpoint.

Everyone should have a Merry Christmas. If Christians wouldn't say it half-heartedly then atheists probably wouldn't get that impression. So I'm wishing you all a Merry CHRISTmas!

You know Atheist should have the same privileges as any Christan and they do. But we all know why we Celebrate this season, It's to celebratee the birth of Jesus Christ. As a Christan myself this is something that I think all Atheist should take this time of the year to understand that Jesus is real and anyone with a sensible intellectual mind can see that Jesus is really the reason for the season. Thank you and God Bless You! So I would have to say please celebrat the Lord Jesus Christ this season. Have a Merry Christmas also.
