Why do you want to make him dump you? Why dont you take the initiative and leave him if you cannot be not happy in the relation?
You said he really likes you and since you are in a relation, obviously you had given okay initially. Now if you want to leave him, for whatever reason, first I think you should discuss with him, try and see whether you could improve things, give some time for that and then decide together to break the relation.
Honey, dont get too fast in life as to dump someone in relation with you, you may be tempted with someone else or you might have got hurt by this guy. But for everything there should be a way of doing it. In your youth you may feel like throwing away all the courtesies or mutual respect. But imagine if someone does similar to you tomorrow? Please, we are talking about human feelings and relations. Handle it well.

Woah! This is crazy - why are you so passive? You talk about yourself as though you are a piece of property!!! If you don't want to be with someone, then you be the one to break it off. If you are old enough to be in any kind of a relationship, then act like you are in charge of your feelings, and make your behavior consistent with your feelings!!

you shouldnt try to make someone dump you. its kind of dishonest and could be hurtful. it would be better if you just dumped them instead.

don't try and do dumb subtle hints; it doesn't work. just tell him flat out, you'll hurt him less than trying to lead him into it gradually.
