Read the accounts for yourself. Mary was certainly a sinner as we all are but she found favor with God because of her faith. Joseph was doing as all proper Jewish males were, making ready a home for his bride and following as best as he could to his own faith.
Thank God for them both and what a blessing to us they have been!

mary wasn't a sinner nor a saint. she was a willing vessel, plain/simple. the bible says she was blessed, not holy.her and joseph were engaged to be married like any couple when this event occured.
