Go for the job interview. I've met people who spend their lives missing the opportunities God drops in their laps. They end up whiney people who give a bad name to Christianity. Do you think God wants you to work or spend your time being a college kid who avoids responsibility? It's time to grow up.

Here's another perspective. Is this interview a gift from God? Is this somewhere you might need to be? How badly do you need a job and how rare is it to get a job interview where you are? Don't throw away an opportunity that may not come again. If the conference is every year, you can go next year. But the job may not be there for you. Nor might you get another chance like this job for a while. There are many things to consider, but ultimately you have to decide your best course.
For me, I would go on the interview and then to the conference.
Good luck whatever you decide.

I think you know that you should go to the interview. Missing one day of the conference for the chance of getting a good job. Look at it as the opportunity for God to bless you with the job.

Well if you believe in god then I say god helps those who help themselves. Go to the interview. It's important to get a job. Plus its not like this conference is a once in a lifetime thing. Go next year after you get your job. Or you could miss the first day of the conference and go for the rest. Either way definitely go for the interview.

I would skip the conference and make sure that I go to the interview. You don't know when an opportunity like this will come along again. I'm not christan so you might not want my advice, but to tell you the truth, if your faith is strong, then I think your god would want you to try for the job. I mean, I think that if he opened that door for you to maybe get the job and you turned your back on it, then he might not help you again.

select my nostril once more with a pitchfork. That's k. I informed myself I could by no means marry a girl that would no longer combat and would no longer be egocentric. I've been along with her for sixteen years and she will be able to without doubt combat. She's a long way from egocentric too.

Hello, George:
First, pray about it. Then, if the Lord so moves, call the prospective employer and explain your dillemma.
If they are not sympathetic to Christians, you don't want to work for the Devil, do you?
If they are understanding, then they will accommodate you for other Church events. You'd want to work for them, right?
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua
One more thing, the Bible says the time is coming when you can't buy or sell, and the Bible code identifies the major player: www.abiblecode.com

Which would glorify God more-a job, or fellowshipping with other Believers?
Answer this, & you will have your answer.
Hope this helps.
The retreat is a sure thing. The job isn't.
Just my 2 cents.
