Well after DT school I should find out where Ill be stationed at? And if I am stationed on a military base will I have a house or something different?

Where you live depends on your command. Some require you be at least E-5 to live off base.

On base you live in barracks. In my experience (way back when), they were'n't quite as open as boot camp I shared a cubicle with one other guy. I think there were about 10 such cubicles on each side of the room. You'll have a hanging locker, and drawers.

When you get to the point where the command allows you to live off base, you'll get a housing allowance. If you're smart, you'll get a small approved apartment at as low a rent as you can find. that'll give you some more food money.

If you're married there may be base housing. But there will be Base Approved Housing (BAH). I believe you'll then be eligible for other substance.

Um... don't get married just to live off base. ;-)

Sea duty... I'll presume you're going to get some, will likely be on a larger ship... probably a carrier. Smaller ships don't have Dental Techs -- DT is still Dental Technician, isn't it? Sleeping on a carrier is something. Granted, you don't have a suite of rooms all to yourself... in fact you have just enough room to lie down. and read, or sleep. But aboard ship, you're either working, eating (a carrier has two enlisted mess decks), exercising (a carrier has a workout room with weights and machines), watching television (a carrier has a TV studio), listening to the radio (a radio station too), watching a movie (there are several locations where movies might be shown), reading (a carrier has a library, a daily newspaper, and a monthly magazine)... so you won't have a whole lot of time to relax in bed, and when you do get there, you'll sleep. And, when you're sleeping, it doesn't make any difference if the ceiling's 2 feet above your head or 20 feet above your head. Although, you do quickly learn to roll out of your bunk and not to sit up suddenly.

Your storage space is limited. Rated personnel (E-4 - E-6) sometimes have hanging lockers. But most of the space you store stuff is in the bulkhead behind your berth, or in a larger storage area inside the berth itself. Want to press something? Lift your mattress and lay whatever it is down and carefully smooth it out... put the mattress back on top of it. In a couple of days, take out whatever it was, fold it and place it in the storage inside your berth.

Chiefs have their own berthing area.... Officers have their area, and Warrants theirs, but I suppose you won't have to worry about that for a while.

I was in the army and my brother was in the navy. Unless you are married, you will live in the barracks. They are like living in dorms or in some cases an apartment. It depends by where you get based at. Once you get married, you can live either on or off base. If you live on base you live in married housing which sometimes is like living in town homes or duplexes. also depends where you are stationed. you do have the option though when you are married to purchase a home off base. And I don't remember but I think once you meet a certain rank you can move into different housing also. It has been awhile since I was in the army and my brother has been out for 2 years now. So who knows, things could have changed.

It depends where you are stationed. I went to Korea right after A school and live on base but I can move off base if I want because I made E-5. Some places E-4 can move out in town, it really depends on how full base housing is. To correct another person there is no such thing as a seaman third class.

There are alot of errors in the post right before mine.

This will depend upon your assignments.
Barracks are common until the assignment is handed out. When you are assigned you will ship out within 24 hours to the port closest to your assignment. By the way, it's ship out, not ship off.
If you are assigned a carrier, then your schooling will be for a function on a carrier. Again, BTW, (hint) a seaman third class will generally not be being assigned shore duty. So do not plan upon being ashore for at least the first two years of your active duty. So base duty is more than reasonably dubious for you. It's a fact. 95% of naval forces serve aboard ships.
And in the Navy (to correct the previous poster) you have rates and ratings, not rank. Rank is only for officers.

It's pretty simple...
If you're single:
"A" School: Barracks
Shore: Barracks
Ship: Berthing

Married:
"A" School: Barracks
Shore: Housing/off base (accompanied tour), barracks (unaccompanied tour)
Ship: Housing/off base (accompanied tour), berthing (unaccompanied tour)

And by the way, you're not a DT; you're an HM. I don't care what your recruiter told you. You may be doing DT work, but you're still an HM.

single sailors on shore duty will be living in the Barracks until they reach the paygrade of E4 or E5(depends on the Command) or get married and otherwise qualify for BAH. Single sailors on Sea duty will live in berthing on the ship unless the base has Barracks set aside for sea duty Squids.

While you're in A school you'll be in the barracks. If you get attached to a ship..It's called a berthing. You sleep there unless you're ship is in drydock...you'll be in the barracks again.

You will probably have a barracks or whatever the Navy calls it.

Somewhere close to a coast in all likelihood! That's one of the cool things about the Navy
