You start with Matthew 6:9-13 as an outline (1. Praise; 2: His will; 3: Your daily needs (not necessarily your wants except what is useful to Him and for others); 4: His forgiveness (Note the stipulation) - and 5: His protection. After that - more than likely - what you say to your friends. Don't foget to listen and look for answers. (See also James 1:6-7)

I thank him for what he has done and is doing in my life. I thank him for the desire to even want to love him and walk with him. I ask him to fogive me for things I know were wrong and for things I have done or said that I didn't know AND to bring these things before me.
I ask him to allow me to be a blessing to those whose path I cross rather than a hindrance.
These are just a small few things I say to the Lord.

Seriously, I like the song, "I can only Imagine" as it honestly portrays the likely inability we will have to even muster a sound in His awesome presence.
