No, runner's high would happen during running, and I don't believe you can really run if you're crying.

Hm, according to a website, runner's high would feel something like an orgasm. And I guess it's kinda true, because breathing deeply stimulates your sexual organs from the inside. It also says that it's not only runners that have "highs", but all kinds of athletes. It's supposed to happen when you're working to your full potential.

No, I believe it's a little bit more than meeting a group of running friends. This I read in another website, but it said that you have three leves of energies; the first one you use for you normal day-to-day activities, the second one is for emergency situations, like when you get really angry or really scared, and you're able to lift a whole car. Those two will eventually get exhausted, I mean like when you're using them one after another, but then there's a third layer of energy that never gets exhausted, and when you get to that layer, you supposedly feel the "high".

Runners high is a loosely-but-mostly undefined term used to describe a feeling one may experience during or after running. Generally, I believe, it takes a considerable distance or time period of running to bring this on; however, I'd not suggest that a sprinter doesn't experience a similar elation.

Thought to be induced by the release of endorphins, but that's too scientific for me.

My guess is that any one of the following circumstances can induce a runners high:

1. A particularly good solid run on a day when you feel everything is working smoothly
2. Scoring a PR
3. Unexpectedly meeting up with a group of running friends that you join
4. Running longer or farther than you normally do

Good Luck
