I have natural red hair, and i was thinking about getting some blonde highlights. i was just wondering if that would look good. i tried to find pictures on the internet, but i couldn't really find a lot. Does anyone have any advice or know if it would be a cool thing i could try?

Weaving blonde highlights into your base color enhances any complexion. Like self-tanner, golden tones illuminate your skin. Keep the streaks THIN to ensure everything blends in well or try Redken All Soft Gold Glimmer Perfecting Shine Treatment (about $15 U.S) which warms up ALL base shades- without any dye.
Deciding where to place the highlights has more to do with complimenting the shape of your face than it does with the colour of hair you are starting with.

when
red highlights are applied to blonde hair they have a law the the red will fade lighter. try a semi color of red highlights that will wash out in 4 weeks then you will know if you liked the results .

No No No. Blonde hair w/ red highlights would look nice but not the other way aroung. Try a chocolate brown instead :)

i dont think it would look good, im sorry but thats just my opinion. i think u should keep it the way it is. ur natural hair is the best and prettiest. i have med. brown natural color hair and i got blonde highlights, that's the worst thing i did because i hate them and now to get rid of them i am dyeing my hair my natural color which is really bad for ur hair.

you should dye your hair to a color that blends in with the red so it would look natural. i dont really think blonde would look good with red.. i think you should try dark brown highlights to balance the tone =]

Blonde highlights are difficult on red hair, they tend to turn brassy or orange. You'd be better off doing chocolate lowlights.

You could streak it, but I don't think it would turn out pleasing. Why not shampoo with an egg ( well mixed ) into your regular shampoo. Rinse well with cool water. Then rinse with some chamomile tea / or vinegar ( half and half with cool water ...Do not wash out. ) to make your naturally red hair really shine and glow.

I say life is about taking risks and if your comfortable with yourself go for it... i mean whats the worst that could happen, you dont like it and if thats the case just dye it a different color... take a chance, who knows the outcome might be better then you think... good luck i hope this helps.

One of my friends did it and it looked fake and not very natural or pretty. I wouldn't suggest it. The best thing for you is to stay all one color.
