should i dye my hair a blonish color?

my hair is a dark brown color but i want to make a change for the new year. i want to go a lighter color.

Don't do that. You would make a terrible blond. If you had really light brown hair then you might be able to pull of the blond thing. Otherwise you will just look weird because your skin will not match your hair.

If you want a change you should do a lighter shade of brown or do highlights of a lighter shade of brown. That would be a nice change.

Trust me, it is so obvious when a dark haired brunette bleaches her hair and it looks God awful. Then as your roots start growing in it will look even more terrible, unless you want to keep bleaching your roots too... but then again it will still just be God awful.

If you don't believe me, make sure to take pictures so in a couple of years you can look back at them and ask yourself wtf were you thinking.

Totally, But I would def have it Professionally done...

Why?

Because it's really dangerous to go from dark to light, you could end up losing all of your hair if not done properlly.

I went from dirty blonde to a bright blonde to brunett. I had no touble at alll...Another one of my friends has dyed her hair so many times, I still haven't seen her real hair color.

Also, If you do decided to do it, Buy shampoo for colored hair.

It's really up to you tho...Try taking a pic of yourself then take a pic of a friend with blonde hair and edit it in paint...to see what you'll look like.


Also, Don't make it TO big of a difference because when your roots start growing it's gonna look horrible unless you redo every 6 months...trust me...i know, But you could always get that wash out stuff instead of the grow out...it usaully lasts the same amount of time.

Dark blonde might be a starter. Going too light at first till everyone gets used to seeing you ...especially "you" might be too much too soon. Just remember, if you want to keep it looking good after first doing it, you need to maintain it every few weeks. Are you up to that ? Maybe you should try on a blonde shade wig to see how it looks on you first.

Nope. It all has to do with face structure. Natural, blondes like myself, are born with hair that complements our skin colour. Natural brunettes, like yourself, have hair that suits your skin. Its all very genetically accurate. When a brunette goes blonde, hoping to mimick the natural blondes, her hair gets out of wack with her face shape, etc. Its the same when blondes go dark or red. Guys like the girls who match perfectly. The naturals.

if you go lighter it will fry your hair but going darker conditions it. if you deside to go light make sure it is a sandy blonde so it looks natural. have fun.

please dont go blonde seriously completely changing your haircolour shows you are desperate to get guys attention or something try keeping the normal colour and putting in some lighter brown highlights and make your hair curly ringlets to look amazing jazz up the style with suttle make up make your clothes very classy with matching co-ordinating jewelrey hoop earing to go and your set !!!!!!!!!!!

totally. but dont make it real light cuz its gonna look weird. i say strawberry blonde is a great color to try.
