Why waste your time arguing that there is no God. Now you've guaranteed damnation for yourselves, good job. If there is a God, you're screwed because your going to Hell, but if there isn't one, you're still screwed because then you're going to oblivion. Please, no one bring up Pascal's wager because I feel like throwing up every time I hear that. Why waste your time trying to convert everyone to atheism when you only have one shot at life?

I believe in eternal life. You don't. I'm pretty sure out of my infinite years, I can spare a few minutes each day.

Well aren't you also wasting time that your god would want you to be making better use of?
Me, I'm just bored. It's 10:40 at night, and like most atheists, I think, I was pretty much baited here by all the questions posted BY believers talking about US. Oh..much like you! So why wouldn't I come and reply/defend us, especially of the more ignorant questions...

I feel sad for you :(
Why are you wasting your time on yahoo answers when you could be out doing good works in the Lord's name?
Do you really think insulting people on yahoo answers is your ticket to heaven? Since you believe in eternal life shouldn't be a bit more worried that being a jerk might get you sent to hell
Or what if you're worshipping the wrong god!! Oh no! I mean really were you just so lucky to have been born into the exactly right god belief and all those MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of other people are just plain WRONG!
Perhaps it's fear that's making you such a d ick

The very same reason you come here R & S to read questions and ask them. threw that have the oppertunity to express ones own feelings.
Everyone has the right to voice that opinon no not everyone is going to agree with you. Who knows whats "Right" and whats not. If you just keep to your own beliefs and you'll be just fine.
and just to note I see a hell of alot more Christians well not just here (but in life in general) trying to convert non- believer into believers then the other way around.

Why are you lumping all atheists together? I am not trying to talk anyone into changing to my point of view. I simply state my opinion, like god is an imaginary friend in the sky. I'm not saying you have to agree with me, I'm just saying please respect my beliefs and don't shove yours down my throat. I don't waste my time on yahoo answers, it's just that it's late at night, my kids are asleep, and I need to unwind from the day.

Actually, just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean I'm not allowed to use the internet...
And, you have no idea of what I believe, so I would appreciate a little less condescension and a little more curiosity - if you are, in fact, intent on learning anything. If I'm going to Hell for thinking, then so be it! I can't wait to meet all the cool people there who can actually string together thought.

Well, I'm on vacation in a state I am not native to. I have no vehicle to drive, nor would I because the road conditions are not what I'm used to. I have nothing else to do while my boyfriend is at work, so I'm on here getting individuals' perspectives on religions because one can only get so much from books.

I have never known an Atheist to try and convert anyone. Unlike you, we are not evangelists. As for being in here, sometimes it is entertaining and fun. I especially enjoy it when someone assumes they know something about Atheism and attempts to ask an intelligent question.

Same reason that you waste your time here. Nothing better to do at this moment (I am retired).
Realise that it is NOT a waste of my time arguing (I prefer 'debating') as there are many borderline cases out there who are hovering between silly beliefs and reality. It only takes a nudge in words to save a life from complete stupidity. Maybe today will save a life. Obviously not you - you are doomed.

Because I enjoy Yahoo Answers.
And I don't try to convert anyone to atheism. There's no way I have enough will power to try to change the minds of crazy people.

It's amusing reading the inane Q's & A's your particular brand of theist chruns out. The imbecility rates up there with the slapstick clowns of yesteryear.
